FIVE REASONS TO MAKE THE JOURNEY

Come hungry.
Stay curious.

A café table surrounded by greenery. A gift you didn’t expect to find. A little village made for play. Give Glenbarr a little time and discover how much sits behind the shopfront.

Lunch among the leaves

Settle in for breakfast, a homemade lunch or something from the daily baking. Coffee, cakes and seasonal drinks make a shorter visit just as tempting. For a special occasion, book the Gardeners Afternoon Tea ahead.

A greenhouse worth lingering in

Follow the plants through the greenhouse, then browse seasonal bedding, shrubs, perennials, trees and pots. Pick up compost for a project or ask the team for planting advice suited to Kintyre.

Take a little of Kintyre home

Leave room in your bag for Scottish produce, preserves, chocolates, cards, gifts and homeware. The changing selection makes the shop a good place to find a holiday treat or a present.

A CLOSER LOOK

Discover Glenbarr Stores

Homemade food, greenhouse tables, Scottish gifts, a garden centre and Little Glenbarr play — with five rooms at The House for an overnight escape.

What to expect

There is more to browse than a café menu: Scottish food and drink, gifts, cards and homeware sit alongside seasonal plants and garden pots. You can combine breakfast or lunch with coffee and cake, then wander through the garden centre. Indoor and outdoor seating bring the food and plants together in one visit.

Planning your visit

Look out for separately advertised Little Glenbarr activities, creative sessions and seasonal celebrations. Afternoon teas, workshops and the Christmas grotto have their own booking arrangements; check the current programme before promising an activity to children. Ask about dietary needs when booking food, and allow time to browse the shop as well as eat.
