Using this website
Use Tab to move between links and controls, Enter to follow a link, and Enter or Space to operate buttons and expand information panels. The first link on each page skips the navigation. On smaller screens, Escape closes the navigation menu and returns you to its button.
You can enlarge the page using your browser's zoom controls. The layout adapts to smaller screens, and animation is reduced when your device requests reduced motion.
An alternative to the map
Every published place is also available in the searchable photo directory, where you can filter by activity and area. You do not need to operate the map to open a listing or find a business's contact details.
Saved places and printing
Save buttons add places to a shortlist on this browser. JavaScript and browser storage are needed for this feature. You can also bookmark individual pages. From Saved places, choose Print your shortlist and use your browser's print or Save as PDF option.
Access at places you visit
Where an operator publishes access information, we include it in the listing and link to the source. Ask about the exact entrance, gradients, path surfaces, accessible toilets, parking and assistance you need. A map pin identifies a place; it does not identify a step-free entrance. Missing access information does not establish whether a place is suitable.
Our visitor planning page brings together transport and practical information. Confirm arrangements directly with the operator before booking.
Known limitations and feedback
The interactive map and external booking websites have their own controls. This website has not yet had a complete independent accessibility audit, and we do not claim full compliance with an accessibility standard.
If a page is difficult to use, contact the guide with the page address, the problem and your preferred format. Please avoid including passwords or sensitive personal information.
